BE PART OF A HISTORIC PHOTOGRAPHIC PORTRAIT CELEBRATING YOUR POWER TO DREAM

All who consider themselves DREAMERS are invited to participate in a historic group photo shoot on October 1. Participants of all ages and backgrounds are encouraged to come be part of a beautiful, global experience that celebrates a simple message: WE DREAM.
The photograph will be shot by New York- based artist Justin Tellian, in collaboration with several partners, including public art startup TrustArt.org, the Queens Museum of Art, and immigrant youth-led social justice organization United We Dream.
This will be the last official shoot of the Dreamers project, which was born in Brooklyn NYC and has travelled to 5 cities around the world: Mexico City, Berlin, Black Rock City, Tokyo, and Johannesburg.
Artists, musicians, activists, children, and families have united in this powerful and inspiring experience across the globe. Tellian has chosen Queens, NY, one of the most international places in the world, with167 languages spoken, as the site of the final portrait, which will be set against the backdrop of the Unisphere fountain in Flushing Meadows Corona park (the site of two world’s fairs)
The goal is to make the New York event the largest gathering of dreamers in any city yet. All the portraits will be revealed together in a worldwide exhibit via partnerships with arts institutions in each of the cities visited by the project.

ARRIVE AT 1PM. BRING FRIENDS. **COME WEARING WHITE.** PREPARE TO DREAM.
After the photo shoot there will be an OUTDOOR DANCE PARTY from 3-6pm under the Unishpere fountain. The Queens Museum of Art will be the backup space in the case of rain.

BACKGROUND & VISION
Justin Tellian is a photographer inspired by the power of dreams. Justin first brought together his love of street art, his skill in photography, and his belief in the power of dreaming to a 2008 group portrait of dreamers in Brooklyn. The invitation came last minute but many friends gathered wearing white. Artists, fashion designers, filmmakers, writers, and musicians all united in this common experience.
Since then Justin's vision has widened with the ambition to unite people in six cities across the world, spreading the message: "DREAM". In each city, Justin gathers anyone who identifies as a dreamer regardless of background, age, or lifestyle. Justin considers the Dreamers shoots as a mixture of celebration and mise en scene.
